CONSERVATION & RESEARCH
於重點地區發揮保育力量
透過科學研究，保育基金能夠進一步了解瀕危物種的狀況、生態學以至棲息地數據， 重點制定具效益的保育框架。在二零一九至二零二零年度，保育基金繼續支持本地及 亞洲區內的研究項目，主要集中探索氣候變化問題，研究瀕危陸生、淡水及海洋生物的 保育，打擊瀕危物種的非法買賣，以及鼓勵當地社群參與保育。此外，隨著香港海洋 生物救護及教育中心(救護及教育中心)的落成，保育基金亦進一步提升海洋生物擱淺的 調查及研究工作。自成立二十五年來，保育基金一直與其他機構、科學團隊、政府 部門及社會各界攜手合作，持續支持保育研究及相關工作，未來定將全力以赴，繼續為 守護自然貢獻力量。
Enabling Conservation Where It’s Needed Most
Research informs conservation by filling in knowledge on species’ status, ecology and habitat. In 2019/20, OPCFHK supported local and regional research focusing on climate change, endangered terrestrial and freshwater wildlife, marine conservation, combating the illegal trade in threatened species and encouraging community involvement in conservation. The establishment of the Hong Kong Marine Life Stranding and Education Centre (HKMLSEC) also further elevated OPCFHK’s efforts in addressing local marine life stranding. By joining hands with organisations, scientists, authorities and communities, OPCFHK continues to advance conservation research and action, just as it has over the past 25 years, and strives to keep doing so in future.
